Daniela Dwyer Foundation voted by the people as 12th Canberra Community Chest partner

The people have spoken!

The Daniela Dwyer Foundation are the winner of the People's Choice vote and are the 12th partner of the 2024 Canberra Community Chest.

Foundation Founder Kevin Dwyer said, "We were overwhelmed with gratitude and emotion when we learned that the people of Canberra and our supporters Australia wide had voted for the Daniela Dwyer Foundation as a deserving partner for the Canberra Community Chest.”

The Daniela Dwyer Foundation were a partner of the 2023 Chest after being selected by the independent selection committee and are excited to be involved again.

"We were truly inspired by the concept of the Canberra Community Chest last year." Dwyer said. "It’s a brilliant initiative that brings together local charities and community groups to raise awareness and vital funding for causes that matter."

Last year's Canberra Community Chest winning partner, Rise Above Capital Region Cancer Care, collected $25,000 after being selected by the People's Choice vote, something Kevin Dwyer hopes his organisaiton can replicate.

"If we are fortunate enough to win the race and secure the $25,000, the funds will be used to support our ongoing work in brain cancer research and advocacy." Dwyer said.
