Luke Pepper welcomed back to Canberra training ranks

Luke Pepper will prepare his first Canberra runner since returning to the Nation’s Capital on TAB Melbourne Cup & Big Day Race Day, Tuesday, 5 November.

Pepper, who boasts almost 300 career wins, returned to Canberra in October from Scone where he enjoyed great success, particularly with talented mare Opal Ridge.

Pepper returns to Canberra with hopes to expand his operation. He mentions Thoroughbred Park’s world-class facilities as another catalyst for the move.

“I’m coming into some great stables here with 36 boxes which gives us a great opportunity for expansion.” Pepper said.

“It’s just an incredible facility here. This Club’s facilities are as good as any getting around.”

“Being closer to friends and family was also a massive factor and we’ve also got some great & loyal owners here.”

“Cup Day will see our first runner as a Canberra stable again and hopefully we’ll find some immediate success.”

The Canberra Racing Club welcomes Pepper and his partner Tahnee back to Canberra & Thoroughbred Park, and wishes them success.

Canberra Racing Club Chief Executive Darren Pearce said, “Luke is a wonderful Trainer and person, so we are excited to have him back amongst our training ranks.”

“We have a great team and a focus on enhancing conditions to allow our trainers and horses every opportunity to thrive.”
