Record breaking September at Thoroughbred Park
Thoroughbred Park’s busiest September on record was capped off by two major events with the Hops & Hooves Festival & Cars N Coffee events attracting 8,000 patrons over the final weekend of the month.
Our bustling community events & conference centre hosted over 15,000 visitors across a number of significant events throughout the month including the ACT Stamp Show, Dulux Trade Show, Wine Wise, German All Auto Day, 3 busy race days and the Emergency Services Australia ACT Family Day.
The latter was an inaugural event which saw hardworking members of the emergency services community rewarded for their tireless efforts amongst their loved ones in a relaxed and fun setting.
Dulux’s Jonno De Angelis was delighted with his company’s trade show in mid-September and will be bringing the event back to Thoroughbred Park when it next comes to Canberra.
“We were blown away with how diverse the spaces were.” De Angelis said. “We needed a wide variety of spaces to host clients, demonstrate new and exciting products and for our guests to relax and Thoroughbred Park delivered in spades.”
“The food was out of this world too and was a highlight for our guests who’d come from all across Canberra.”
“The Dulux Trade Show visits many different places across NSW and we’d love to bring it back to Thoroughbred Park next time it is in town.”
Just a week later, the third annual Hops & Hooves Festival, which combines the region’s best brewers, winemakers and distillers with a race day, attracted over 2,700 patrons.
Over 55% of ticket holders were aged 18-21, continuing Canberra racing’s strong engagement with Canberra’s next generation after a record Black Opal Stakes Day crowd back in March 2024 which saw over 65% of general admission customers under the age of 25.
October doesn’t see a slow in events at Thoroughbred Park with the Canberra Brick Show (Lego), Fifth Gear Motoring School Program, The Cottage Halloween Markets, and a number of race days amongst the busy events calendar.
